R2-D2 was an astromech droid that worked with the Galactic Republic, early rebellion, and Alliance to Restore the Republic. Alongside his counterpart, C-3PO, R2-D2 has been on many adventures, both during the Clone Wars and the Galactic Civil War. R2 was one of the only droids in both the rebellion and the galaxy that had never recieved a memory wipe, allowing the droid to build up a compassionate, and sometimes stubborn, personality. After the end of the Galactic Civil War, and the later fall of Luke's Jedi Order, R2 would be deactivated by the Jedi Knight and left deactivated for the next couple of years.
