Kekit was an Jawa clan leader who was active during the Galactic Civil War. He made a deal with the Rebel Alliance while the Galactic Empire held its presence on Tatooine, and soon proved himself a valuble ally to the rebellion, as he gave them vehicles, weapons, and alloy that he and his fellow Jawas "found" around Tatooine. Kekit also found the rebels good allies, as they protected his clan from Tusken Raiders and Imperial units on the planet, like Captain Kosh.
